Marketing theme


3.1 Internal Marketing Theme

Mr. Bernard, SB lecturer, recommended adding a unique theme for linking up the Marketing strategies together. He gave example of Giordano. Their marketing theme is “a world without strangers”.






The phrase, “a world without strangers,” implies a world where nationalities, class, ethnicity and gender don’t divide people as people feel affection for one another as if they were friends regardless of the distances between them. For Giordano, this widely held ideal is one of the primary ideas behind its marketing image. This idea is meant to fit with the simplicity and modesty of Giordano designs, clothing that is meant to give people a sense of familiarity.

We have come out with a marketing theme of “imprinting memories” to link up all the internal marketing factors together. We come out with this theme because we do not just want to raise awareness about SLL to the SP community but at the same time benefits them. The students can benefits as they will experience a whole package as SLL is an eco-house that uses technology from the 4 schools such as ABE, CLS, EEE and SMAE. Hence, the student will learn in a lab but also a dynamic classroom where sustainable ideas can be farmed and tested. In return, lecturers can make their lesson interesting with up-to-date technologies to the student. In this manner, the student will learn more and get more hands on experience in SLL. Therefore, SLL memories are imprinted to the students and hope that they will bring this knowledge along after they graduated.
